Mind Map
Why not convert your permaculture ideas into a mind map? What is a mind map?
A mind map is a diagram used to represent words, ideas, tasks, or other items linked to and arranged around a central key word or idea. Mind maps are used to generate, visualize, structure, and classify ideas, and as an aid in study, organization, problem solving, decision making, and writing.
Mind maps are tools that help us think and remember better, creatively solve problems and take action. The mind map encourages creativity and flexibility, and you need these to make your resolutions happen! Mind maps help you think outside the box.

Thanks for this mind mapping information. I started to get into this a few years ago – I could see the power of them but never quite got into the habit of using them.
Anyway you’ve prompted me to have a fresh look at them.
cheers
James
I also recommend checking out VUE – Visual Understanding Environment from vue.tufts.edu — free, cross-platform, lots of interesting features. I use it constantly in my permaculture design work – along with a handful of other programs you can find at http://permaculturedesigns.blogspot.com/2009/04/i-get-this-question-all-time-what-are.html
